According to the tradition, however it is a Romanesque work datable to the late XII century or early thirteenth century, the Virgin was venerated in Ecija (Sevilla), dedicated to Our Lady of Remedies up to the Muslim invasion, where two captains Army defeated Toledo Visigoth Visigothic put it safely taking it to the said town Palencia, where she was buried. After its discovery, the image was on the high altar of the church Arconada parish until 1219, in compliance, continues telling the traditional story of desire of the Virgin, was taken to Ampudia to receive worship in a sanctuary dedicated to particular Our Lady of Arconada. Virgin became the Ampudia patron in particular and the Tierra de Campos region in general, his feast being fixed on September 8th.
